Does it seem like it's a time when troubles fall like rain

When bad things come in ones and twos and then come back again

Does it seem like bad luck is the only luck you know

Does it seem you're all dressed up with no place left to go

Rich or poor they happen, the bad luck and the pain

It's hard times, that's when you understand

All of us at sometime need a helping hand

Does it seem like life's unfair, yes, I guess it must

Does it seem like all the lies have misplaced all the trust

Does it seem there's no way out, that every door is barred

Does it seem you're tired now and everything is hard
